EBRD Energy Efficiency Awards

The first edition of the EBRD annual energy efficiency excellence awards ceremony in Bulgaria took place on 25 November 2008 at the Royal Hall of the Sheraton Hotel. The energy efficiency awards were given to the companies which made best use of the funds received under the EBRD sustainable energy credit lines - BEERECL< and EUEEFF< for investments in energy savings and environmental protection.

The award winners were selected by the international jury among all nominees in the following three categories:

• Category 1: Most effective improvement in energy efficiency. The winner in category 1 is Khan Asparuh JSC<
• Category 2: Successful implementation of energy efficiency measures. The winner in category 2 is Orgachim JSC<
• Category 3: Achievements in energy efficiency in the SME sector The winner in category 3 is Medica JSC<
